• Many drills were shared. Luke will get the drills in a digital format to post to the
association webpage. If you have any drills in a digital format please forward them to
Luke for inclusion on the webpage.
• Hartford may not have ice! Nelson was looking for alternative practice rinks. Please let
him know if you can help. He is looking for ice on 12/21 before his 12/22 scrimmage
with MVU. As of Friday Nelson stated that they were making ice in Hartford.
• Current Selection of VGIHCA Executive Council Members
    o Current Executive Council: President – Luke Cioffi, VP – Brad Bessette,
    Treasurer – Chris Turley, Secretary – Nelson Fogg, Past President – Dave Lamarre
    o Anybody willing to take a new role? No activity in this area. Need to get more
    people involved. You never know when Luke won’t be able to do this…
• Collection of dues: $20 per member. Please send checks to Chris Turley made out to
VGIHCA. Send to Chris Turley, 48 Town Hill Road, Montpelier 05602
• Essex Rotary Senior All-Star Section Process. Lisa McClellan provided information
regarding the Senior game set for March 7, 2009 at 4:30 in Essex. She will be sending
more information at the start of the season. The coaches would like to see the rankings of
the individuals among their own team. (i.e. Crystal Ice is the best player on BFA and
Beth Line is the 5th best player on BFA, etc). Not all seniors need to be nominated. They
must be deserving of the award.
• Association All Star Nominations
    o Please email Luke with your 5 best players on your team. Include their number
    and position. Rank the players as 1 being your top player. You must do this by
    November 22. Luke will put out a preliminary list of kids to watch during the
    season. When it is time for final nominations you may change the top five players
    and ranks. Individual statistics will also be gathered to make an informed decision.

    o Please see Jeff Rouleau’s emails regarding the webpage. Send him updated
    information regarding VHL Alumni playing college hockey, schedules and results.
    o We should include the drills gathered tonight on the webpage.
• League News
    o Rule Modifications. Some discussion regarding length of warm-up and when to
    make ice. The league is looking to eliminate at least one ice make. The overall
    opinion was that it is ok for a shorter warm-up and one less ice make. It was
    discussed whether to have the ice make before or after the warm-up.
    o Scrimmages Northfield is looking for scrimmages
    o MAW Donations. Please continue to collect money for this great organization.
    Put a donation bucket at the gates.
• VSAHA All-Star Tryouts at Norwich
The 2009 New England District Girls Yankee Conference All Star Festival for girls born in 1992 thru
1995 will take place November 8th and 9th, 2008 at Norwich University. Players selected from these
tryouts will continue on to the All Star festival hosted by Maine in March 2009.
Tryout times are as follows:
    Girls Born in 1994 and 1995 Girls Born in 1992 and 1993
    November 8th – 1:00pm-2:45pm November 8th – 3:00pm-5:00pm
    November 9th – 11:00am-12:10pm November 9th – 12:20pm-1:30pm

• Chip Edson suggested that we have our first meeting of the next season in Middlebury
with the Middlebury college coaches.
